My name is Will Gilmore.  My wife Ginger and I have been married for 26 years.   We've been blessed with 3 children.     We spent 26 years in Carrollton where we raised our family.  We have both been very active in the community, mostly as athletic coaches.  I coached youth baseball and football for 8 years and also helped Ginger coach Jr High girls volleyball for two seasons.  We recently moved to my family farm north of Greenfield where I was born and raised. 


I got my start in the auto industry back in 1996  at an FS/Midas store in Jacksonville,IL changing tires, oil and brakes.  I also learned to operate the service truck where I made field calls to local farmers who needed tires changed on their tractors, combines and other implements.   It started out just as a job so I could have money in my pocket until I figured out what I wanted to do.  After about a year or so there it was evident that the auto industry is where I belonged.   While I was working there, I met my wife Ginger.  Shortly after meeting her I was hired at Evans Ford Mercury in Carrollton.  I spent 10 years there as a certified Ford technician.  This is where I gained most of my knowledge about automobiles and how they really work!     I left there in 2008 and went to work as a technician at a Jeep store in Jacksonville.  I was there a short time before I returned to the Midas organization  in Alton, IL.  That is where I learned that I have some natural sales skills and it's also where Jason recruited me to be a part of Smart Choice Auto Sales.   I started here in June of 2010!  It was a tough decision though because I was leaving what I had known for so long to do something I had never done!  After being here for 15 years  I know that I made a Smart Choice!!   I look forward to the coming years and all the people and families I get to help buy new cars!!

I was raised in Granite City and graduated from GCHS in 1993. I currently reside in Glen Carbon along with Allison, my wife of 15 years, and our daughter Avery.

My career began in 2002 as a salesman for a local new car dealer after being in the restaurant industry for 5 years. In 2004 I made the switch to selling Chevrolet’s in my hometown after being hired by Jason Enos to be the Internet Sales Manager. I worked for him until he opened Smart Choice Auto Sales in August 2007. Jason’s honesty, dedication to quality, and up-front pricing approach made the decision to follow him to Godfrey and easy one. I take pride in the attention to detail our vehicles receive during the comprehensive inspection process and feel confident we provide the highest quality vehicles in the business.
