Hi. My name is Jason Enos. My wife Jamie and I are the owners of Smart Choice Auto Sales in Godfrey, Illinois. We have two daughters and are residents of the Alton, Illinois. We opened our business in July of 2007. After working for two large dealerships in the area as a detailer, a salesman, and then a sales manager, I wanted to open an auto dealership of my own. I wanted to offer the same quality of vehicles that a new car dealer could offer but on a smaller scale with a lower overhead. I visualized owning a dealership that offered like new vehicles that could save a customer thousands of dollars over buying a new vehicle while at the same time providing professional and honest service. I wanted to provide a car buying experience that is enjoyable and did not take long to do.

This is how it happened. At the age of 18, I was hired to work as a detailer for Roberts Motors in Alton, IL. I worked there as a detailer for over 2 years while I attended Lewis and Clark College. After receiving my associate’s degree I was still uncertain of what I wanted to pursue as a career. I asked the owner of Roberts for an opportunity to become a salesperson while I took a semester off school before transferring to SIUE. I really liked selling cars and did this for two years before being promoted to pre-owned sales manager. As the manager I was in charge of purchasing inventory from the auctions, appraising trade-ins, creating newspaper ads, and making sure the pre-owned inventory was reconditioned to very high standards. I worked at Roberts Motors for a total of 8 years. In 2004 I was recruited by Weber Granite City Chevrolet to be their pre-owned sales manager and I worked for them for 4 years prior to establishing Smart Choice Auto Sales in 2007. Both Weber and Roberts were great dealerships to work for and taught me a lot about the business.

I now have over 27 years of experience in the automobile sales industry. I operate my car dealership with honesty and integrity. I truly believe that buying a pre-owned vehicle that has already depreciated is a smarter choice than buying a new vehicle. We do lots of research before buying and pricing each and every car. I have all of the prices clearly marked on the windshield of our vehicles. I promise that you will receive honest, professional, advice and service before and after the sale. Hi. My name is Will Gilmore. I live in Carrollton, IL. I’ve been married to my wife Ginger for 19 years. We have 3 children.

I’ve been in the auto industry for almost 20 years. I spent 10 years as a Ford, Lincoln and Mercury technician. I spent 2 years as a Jeep, Chrysler technician and about 4 years in different independent shops.

I came to Smart Choice in June of 2010. It was a big move to the sales side of the car industry, but my knowledge of cars and people helped with the transition.

I was raised in Granite City and graduated from GCHS in 1993. I currently reside in Glen Carbon along with Allison, my wife of 15 years, and our daughter Avery.

My career began in 2002 as a salesman for a local new car dealer after being in the restaurant industry for 5 years. In 2004 I made the switch to selling Chevrolet’s in my hometown after being hired by Jason Enos to be the Internet Sales Manager. I worked for him until he opened Smart Choice Auto Sales in August 2007. Jason’s honesty, dedication to quality, and up-front pricing approach made the decision to follow him to Godfrey and easy one.
